Nicola Tooth, Anaesthesia RVN, at Cave will be taking you through the basics of CPR with both theory and practical elements
Diving into the well of Wellbeing
Staci Finn, Imaging RVN & Mental Health First Aider, will be giving a beginner's guide to Wellbeing and how can we help ourselves and others
From Error to Opportunity: using human factors to improve communication, teamwork and patient care
Tom Cardy, RCVS and EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology and will be covering how the use of human factors can improve teamwork, communication and therefore patient care.
Equipping your Rehab Toolkit: easy techniques to support the rehabilitation of patients
Josie Richards, Diagnostic RVN Team Leader will equip you with techniques and tips to support and enhance the rehabilitation of patients without requiring expensive equipment.
The 5th vital assessment: utilising nutritional intervention to aid treatment
Leigh-Anne Buse, Lead Night RVN will demonstrate how nutritional intervention can aid in the treatment of many diseases including food intolerances, megaoesophagus and renal disease.
Snort, Snuffle, Snore: management of BOAS patients
Theatre and Surgical Team Leader, Debbie Howe will take us through the management of BOAS patients. She will cover supportive advice for clients and considerations for these patients while they are in the practice.
Sinking your teeth into dentistry: how can you support your veterinary surgeon
Hannah Winter (Dentistry and Anaesthesia RVN) and Gaby Fielding (Dentistry and Oral Surgery Technician) will discuss how best to support during dentistry procedures and how nursing skills can be utilised.
Chemotherapy with Compassion: how we can support owners and stay safe
Nini Kanthagnany (Rotational RVN) and Amy Gardiner (RVN Diagnostic Team Leader) will provide a practical and theory session on how to stay safe whilst administering chemo. They will also cover how we can support owners during their pet's treatment regime.
For your body…
After these presentations you will have the chance to participate in either a yoga session or try paddleboarding in the harbour. Both these events will be run by expert instructors.

The cost for this event is £50 and will include refreshments and lunch. Our Nurse Club CPD Congress will count towards 6 hours of CPD. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.
