After leaving the Royal Navy, Alison worked in various office roles, she has also worked in the education sector with both preschool through to teenagers whilst her own children were growing up.

Alison moved to Devon three years realising her dream of living a more simple rural life and keeping a few animals. She has a Labrador called Eric, two rescue cats called Sidney and Phoenix and two elderly super tame pet sheep called Elizabeth and Margaret, named after the Queen and Princess Margaret. Alison's favourite things are her family, friends, pets and holidays.
