Virtual consultations to support clients

To making it more convenient for pet owners further afield to receive specialist veterinary care we’ve launched a virtual consultation service. This service will allow more pets and owners referred by their primary care practice to benefit from the expert care we offer.

As well as being very convenient for pets and owners by providing the chance to discuss treatment options with veterinary specialists, the virtual consults provides choice for clients and allows for treatment options to be discussed in the comfort of the clients own homes, or at a suitable time during their working day.

Clinical Director at Cave, Nele Van den Steen, said: “Ways of working have adapted in recent years. Our new virtual consultations are borne out of providing our clients, who once had no option than to physically drive their pets to be treated, the best level of care from veterinary experts.

“Owners will still get the highest quality of advice from our specialists who will spend the same amount of time ahead of the call reviewing medical notes, test results and scans from the primary care vet.

“While our virtual consultation service is new, there is always the option of also seeing the team face-to-face, should clients wish to do so. It’s all about choice for our clients, as we know not one size fits all.”

Nele added: “Cave is embracing new ways of delivering veterinary healthcare that will benefit many pets and owners across the south-west for whom a virtual consultation is much more convenient.”
