Cave Veterinary Specialists have received official recognition as a fully-accredited small animal hospital from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
The scheme is run by the RCVS, the regulatory body for the veterinary profession, to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care across the UK. The Practice Standards Scheme is a voluntary initiative to accredit veterinary practices in the UK.
Through setting standards and carrying out regular assessments, the Scheme aims to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care.
Practices are assessed across a range of different criteria including areas such as client experience, clinical governance and the practice team. Assessment criteria are based on services provided by the practice, as well as factors such as facilities and equipment.
The accreditation looks to demonstrate how all of these factors come together to create a positive outcome for patients and clients.
