We’re delighted to announce that Josh Hardwick has successfully passed his board exams to become a European Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine. His exam success further enhances the clinical expertise for our Internal Medicine department.
Josh said: “Passing my board exams has been the culmination of several years hard work, long hours and studying. I am delighted to now be working as a board-certified specialist in my field.”
After qualifying in 2015 from Bristol Veterinary School, Josh worked in a rural mixed practice in south Wales for three years.
He then undertook a one-year rotating internship followed by a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at a university referral hospital.
Following that residency, Josh joined us at Cave in 2022 as a Clinician in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Oncology.
In his current role Josh also works as a clinician in (medical) oncology, as well as treating both routine and emergency referrals from vets across the south west of England and Wales.
Additionally, he is involved with training internal medicine residents, plus actively helps to promote the ISFM feline friendly practice initiative at Cave.
Josh added: “I particularly enjoy working alongside the rest of the team here at Cave, including internal medicine and other disciplines.”
Clinical Director Nele Van den Steen, said: “Josh has passed his exams with flying colours and rightly takes his place among the top echelon of his profession.”
