Malcolm graduated from Melbourne University and spent two years in a small animal general practice in rural Australia. He then moved to Brisbane to do a small animal surgical internship. After completing his year as an intern, he moved to New Zealand to do a small animal surgical residency at Massey University. Malcolm continued to stay on at the University as a staff surgeon for a further six months before deciding to take up a job here at Cave Vets to be nearer to his family.

Outside of work, Malcolm enjoys road cycling, mountain biking, hiking and spending time outdoors.
