  • Small Animal Specialist Surgeon

We are looking for an ECVS/ACVS board certified or residency trained surgeon who is comfortable with both soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures, or a solely soft tissue surgeon to join our team at Cave Veterinary Specialists.

You would be joining a friendly team of specialist vets and will be supported by an excellent team of experienced RVN’s, as well as other dedicated support staff. The surgery team is currently comprised of one full-time and two part-time ECVS diplomat surgeons. 

Equipment includes CT and MRI scanners, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, arthroscopy and endoscopy tower. 

We are looking for a team player happy to work in a familiar and collaborative environment alongside specialists in Internal Medicine, Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Dermatology and Neurology, in our truly multidisciplinary hospital. You will also have high standards of communication and client care skills. 

We offer a four-day week rota with one in four weekend on-call duty. We also welcome applicants looking for part-time or locum positions.

Cave Veterinary Specialists is located in a picturesque rural area of Somerset, only 50 minutes away from Bristol. We are near several national parks, making it perfect for outdoor pursuits and our location close to the motorway makes it easy to access the lovely beaches of the Jurassic Coast, North Devon and Cornwall. There are plenty of amenities in the smaller market towns of Wellington and Taunton, both of which are within a 15-minute drive.
